Letters in mailboxes are rare these days. Today as I grabbed my mail from my box there was a letter for me. Not a bill, a notice, a piece of junk mail. It was a real handwritten note with the sweetest message. What touched me was the connection the note evoked. It reminded me of life before email, and mobile phones when letters were our form of communication. My friend could have easily texted me, called or sent an email. I love that she choose the intimacy of a written note.  Technology is wonderful and the handwritten note radiates warmth and caring in a different way.
