If a friend calls and asks to do something there are times when I will drop what I am doing and join them. Today I was reminded of the value of checking inside to see if the timing is on purpose for me. I texted a friend today to walk and expected a yes. What I received instead was this:  ‘I’m enjoying cleaning my home and will let you know about a walk when that changes.’ I loved the phrasing and the message to himself of staying with what was and honoring his enjoyment. I didn’t hear back but texted him when I was headed up to the trail a few hours later and the response was: “I’m coming too.  See you up there.” How I love the timing of perfection.
