As I was walking into Jury Duty today carrying my food for lunch, water, and my computer I laughed saying to myself I am armed for the day. And then I walked through security checking to see if I was armed with anything else. Sitting here today I am aware that I am blessed to be of service, to contribute this one day every two years as a thank you for living in a democracy.  I used to begrudgingly come and today I am changing my attitude to thank you for allowing me to serve in this way just by putting my butt in the jury room chair.
