Not commenting can be harder to do than the automatic/habitual responses that can simply be space fillers .
In my writing recently there appeared a new voice which is teaching me. Here is one: My intolerant self reared its insistent head and I reminded her she is not in charge and can no longer speak for me. I rather like speaking up for a new way of being.
A young girl dances around in the parking area with great joy and I join her instead of simply enjoying watching and receiving her joy. My enthusiastic yet abrupt intrusion into her innocent moment stopped her flow. Giving pause to read a situation before jumping in full out is a thoughtful and prayerful act
Teaching myself to respect and honor me is the starting point often brushed aside to follow some outer based illusion
